The Wee Bookshop now online
Last month saw the launch of The Wee Bookshop online. Tony Burrin, owner of the Wee Bookshop, in Corrie, writes:
The Story So Far…
“I bought some books to put on the website of The Arran Almanac, an island handbook that I’m publishing, and rented the old Doctor’s Surgery by the village hall in Corrie to act as an office and base for the Almanac. But then I thought to myself that if I’m sitting here like a plonker by myself surrounded by books, I might as well buy some more and open a bookshop!
Hence, The Wee Bookshop which purely sells books that are right up the street of visitors and residents alike!”
Online you will find all the titles that are stocked in the shop, with categories on Arran, Natural History, Mountains, Geology, Environment, and much more, including some of Tony’s Christmas top picks.
Follow this link to the online shop and find some wonderful gifts for Christmas!
The Wee Bookshop is also home to The Arran Almanac
Coming soon in 2024, the Almanac is like a Rough Guide/Lonely Planet handbook for the island with some 500 pages. An A5, softback book, in an easy to use A to Z format. Cross-referencing between entries is quick and straightforward.
To reserve a copy with no obligation to buy, and to read some extracts from the forthcoming Almanac, see the website here
