Autumn events with Arran Pioneer Project and Eco Savvy

Some lovely events coming up in September with the Arran Pioneer Project and Eco Savvy. See below for details:

Outdoor cooking workshop at Cordon Community Garden on Sunday 4th September

On Sunday there will be an Outdoor Cooking Workshop at the Cordon Community Garden along with tattie harvesting, scything, nature activities, late summer produce, and more! Come along and join us, the Zero Waste Cafe team from Arran Eco Savvy as well as the chickens from 11am.

Everything will be provided at the workshop. Please wear sturdy outdoor footwear and prepare as you would for the weather and the Arran outdoors. The garden is a ten minute walk from parking at Arran High School or COAST Discovery Centre. Follow the signs for Cordon and Middletons Caravan Park, cross the bridge and find the garden on the left hand side. All welcome!

We will also be out and about at the Cladach and Corrie gardens on Saturday, and additionally in Pirnmill on Monday, and anyone is welcome to join us. If you are interested in getting involved at any of the community gardens, please email arran@pioneerproject.scot

Apple Pressing day on Tuesday 19th September

Join Eco Savvy and the Arran Pioneer Project for an Apple pressing day on Tuesday 19th September at the Ormidale Pavilion in Brodick. There will be two apple presses on the go outside making fresh apple juice for all to sample! Bring along any apples you may have spare and get involved.

The Eco Savvy Zero Waste Cafe will also be running indoors where we will be serving some delicious apple based baking and soup! Come and stock up on dried goods, get some local produce and have a cuppa with us.
