Crafts and Company February meeting

Time to make some cushions with Fiona Doubleday

Crafts and company continue their crafting year with their February craft club where members made cushions. Dividing into beginners and more experienced sewers allowed everyone to work at their own level. Beginners worked with Coral Smith and learnt how to measure fabric, cut it to size and sewing an envelope pattern to make their very first cushion. More experienced sewers worked with Fiona Doubleday to create ‘applique stories’ before taking their cushion sections home to finish. It was a very busy but hugely rewarding morning and everyone could achieve what they set out to do. Once again, we welcomed new members and this craft club continues to go from strength to strength.
